Happy end of summer! As always, hoping you are staying safe & making the best of the situation we're in. :) Starting September 1st, we'll be closed on Tuesdays until further notice. We want to make sure that there's ample time to keep the restaurant 100% well cleaned and also make sure that staff get a break to take care of themselves after the weekend rush. We'll continue to be open for takeout Wednesday-Monday! Of course, feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hoping everyone is staying safe and enjoying this summer! We've had a lot of questions about when we'll be reopening for indoor dining. Unfortunately the answer is, not for the foreseeable future. This was a difficult decision to make: there's nothing we'd like more than to be open for dining again, but our dining room is rather small and in the interest of everyone's safety, we decided that it will be best not to put people (both customers and staff) in close proximity of one other. We will be sure to update you when things change and we decide it is safe enough for us to open for indoor dining. In the meantime, you can still call or order online for takeout. Thank you for your patience and your continued support!

Happy Mother's Day to all the women out there who make the world go round!! We have extended hours today from 11:30-3:pm & 4-9pm. Just a gentle reminder that while we are open and excited to serve up some delicious Indian food for takeaway, we expect to be very busy today, so if possible for your plans, I encourage you to order takeout for lunch! This will help us decrease wait times overall and maximize the number of your orders we are able to fill. :) ... Here are some recs to help make your mother's day extra sweet: try our much loved mango lassi, gulab jamun, or rice pudding! <3

Mother's Day is coming, and we're gearing up for a rush! As a result, we're extending our hours for this Sunday, 5/10: we'll be open from 11:30-3pm and 4-9pm. As usual, you can call us directly or order online through Menufy: https://www.ragaindiancuisineny.com/#/ Please note that we are expecting it to be very busy during dinnertime and we may have to limit orders, so if it works for your plans, I recommend ordering during our lunch hours if you can! Alternatively, you can also order ahead anytime (even right now!) through Menufy for pickup on Sunday. If you have any questions about this, please comment or send us a message! Happy Mother's Day from me & my mom (pictured) :) Mothers are working harder than ever during COVID-19 and they deserve some love!!!

Hi there! Thanks for continuing to order out and support us during these crazy times. Things have calmed down a bit and we hope your meals have been delicious :) As we continue through our self-isolation, we're going to do our best to post some tips on how to best enjoy our food when takeaway is the only option. Indian food pro tip #1: if your naan bread has cooled off by the time you get home or want to start your meal, don't microwave it! Pop it in the toaster oven instea...d, and you'll get naan almost as soft and flavorful as if it just came out of the tandoor. Add a hint of butter on top before toasting for added flavor. Stay tuned for more quarantine pro tips from our chefs! #naan #naanbread #indianfood #quarantinetips

Hi everyone, I'm writing tonight for two reasons: thanks and apologies. First of all, we were SO grateful and encouraged by the outpouring of support we saw on our first day back today with all of the orders that came in. We would be nowhere without our customers - you all keep us going and we are so happy to see your support and that you're still craving Indian food! At the same time, I am SO sorry for the wait times today. Though it was inexcusable, I want to take a moment ...to explain: we became swamped between a Menufy glitch that had nearly all of today's orders set for the same pickup time of 7:45, and an unusually small staff of just my mom and dad + 2 chefs due to social distancing requirements by the health department. On behalf of James and our whole staff, I am so sorry to all of you who had to wait at the restaurant today, and we promise that we will do better in the future. If you had a bad experience today, please reach out and we'll do our best to help remedy it. We have already spoken to Menufy about the glitch, and we are working on hopefully bringing more of our staff back in a safe way. We are also working on getting our second phone line set up again to make sure that everyone who calls can get through. Thank you once again for your support, and we hope that this does not keep you from visiting in the future. All of the support we saw today has our hearts full and we will continue to do our very best to serve you during these crazy times! With gratitude, Raina & James
