6JAN21 8:13AM It is possible to ROCK ski. I groomed 4 ks the other day and crust skiing on the other stuff is okay if you are careful. I can't bring the big groomer out back until it freezes real hard as I keep breaking through puddles and it makes a mess. Looking forward to more snow! Curt

16JAN21 5PM We got about 3 inches of pretty wet snow last night.I just got done clearing the driveway and parking lot. I can’t groom until it freezes good as there are some pretty wet spots. I am going to Gore tomorrow morning for the JNQRaces. I won’t be able to groom until Monday morning at best. The good new is I should be able to open up at least 5 k of trail. Things are looking much better then they were.

4JAN21 12:18 I just got done grooming 4ks. Sadly the 2 inches of snow we got last night still wasn't enough. You can ski on the 4ks (house loop and 1st part of 5k) but it is not very good and rock skis are recommended. The trails are getting a little better but a good 6 inches of snow would help things. There is no set track yet (not enough snow). It is kind of punky and I think skiing will be better once it freezes again. I hope to get out on the upper 5k tomorrow and clear branches. If it is anything like the other sections there is a bunch down. Get a running start to get up the hills on the driveway. Curt

10JAN21 I was at the ski races in Lake Placid today where thanks to snow making the World Cup trails are in great condition. They looked beautiful but keep in mind they are not touring trails And are REALLY hard. It is Possible to rock ski here still. Erik did the 4ks I have groomed and said it is getting thin around my parents house on the house loop and on the narrow connector after the new cut through on the 5k. If I get the gumption I may try to move some snow out there. There isn‘t a lot to shovel out there so I will try to use the jet sled. It really depends on the 10 day because if we get 1 warm day it will get thin everywhere.

3JAN21 Jon and I cleared stics and branches from 4.5ks today left by yesterday’s wet mess. If we get 3 inches tonight I may be able to groom again. There are some pretty big ice spots with no snow to shovel on to it. I will update if I can.

8JAN21 8:09 AM Still just rock skiing but not too bad on 4ks. No track.

2JAN21 Well we got some snow and rain. I really can’t do anything to the trail until it freezes. Please stay off the trails until at least tomorrow morning Once it has had a chance to set up good. There are puddles of slush in the low spots especially.

31DEC20 Happy New years everyone. We got no real snow last night but just a layer of ice. Weatherman says we are getting something this weekend. I still suggest ice grippers if you are going to use the range. I will groom as soon as we get something.
