So here is what I have been working on lately. Along with other projects for customers. This is our new barn that we decided to build. It has been a long haul but we are finally seeing some results. The building is 3 stories high for ample storage. I decided to put a cupola on the barn so I was all set to build one and I thought of a good family friend Joe Merli. I have known Joe my entire life he has always been someone I looked up to. Unfortunately 2 years ago he passe...d away to cancer. He lived in duansburg on route 20. He owned a large locomotive that was parked next to his shop. Joe was working on his museum canal Street station when he passed. The cupola pictured here was supposed to be used on one of the buildings at his museum. He rescued this cupola off of the old mobile station in duansburg. The cupola is believed to be from about 1890. It was used to house a fire siren until the late 50's. Since Joe has passed it has just been sitting on its side in the elements taking on water. I decided to look into weather or not it was still around. After talking with my uncle and Joe's long time girlfriend she decided to give it to me. So it underwent a complete restoration. Every louver was removed scraped and then painted 2 coats by my 10 yr old daughter theresa. It is now proudly standing back upright and higher than ever atop our new barn. It can be seen from far way in all directions. It is an honor to have something from Joe's collection of artifacts. Our family misses Joe dearly and every morning when I walk out my door I am reminded of joe when I look up at that cupola. Thanks Joe for saving this cupola it will be loved and cherished by our family for generations. I also want to thank my uncle Dan for helping me aquire the cupola Joe's girlfriend Merlin for giving it to me,. My dad for the many hours he spent with a heat gun peeling the Paint off and my daughter Theresa for all her hard work of panting the louvers. See more

Used this in a basement and it is a very nice system. Easy to use goes down fast and creates a space for a small amount of water to escape under it and makes a nice base for any kind of flooring.
