I love farm share/CSA season! . . . .... . . . . We had an abundance of carrots and scallions from @thewildhill farm. I opted to throw together a quick soup to store the summer flavors in our chest freezer for a chilly fall or winter day. @drbuffrocs and I sampled what couldn't fit into the Mason jars and it was delicious! How do you store summer flavors to savor another day? Share below!

Tonight we extracted our first batch of honey from our hives! My husband @drbuffrocs and I went to see a beekeeping friend to crack the seals off 16 frames and spin out the golden deliciousness. We harvested 40 lbs! Our two-month-old, Luna, was a real trooper and watched the guys intently for a little while, needing only one break to nurse. She will have to wait until next summer for a sampling when she is old enough. A little future beekeeper in the making! ... #honeybee #buzzbuzz #futurebeekeeper #nobeesnofood #liquidgold #naturalsweetener #pollinators

When you have a ton of garlic scapes from your @thewildhill farm share, you make pesto! I sent my husband @drbuffrocs out to our garden to pick fresh basil. I also added pine nuts, cashews, parmesan cheese, juice from a fresh lemon, fresh cracked pepper, and himalayan sea salt. It was so sharp and divine! Ended up freezing the rest as it made a ton! #summereats #seasonal #farmshare #healthyisdelicious #farmfresh #freshfromthegarden #noms

One of my favorite parts about summer is fresh local fruit! My dear friend @teemarieb and I ventured out to @thewildhill yesterday with my two-month-old daughter, Luna, to pick pesticide-free blueberries. It's hard to find organic or pesticide-free options because it's so much harder to do around here. Luckily, we know and love an incredible farmer, Erin Bullock, who takes the harder road to use organic practices at her location.... Words can't describe the serene beauty and silence as we picked in the field. Luna was wide awake and expressed the occasional coo or smile while we worked away. Just over an hour later, we had a total of 21 lbs of delicious, ripe, and chemical-free blueberries to bring home. Picking pesticide-free blueberries at Wild Hill Farm is open to the public! Come on out Mondays and Thursdays between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM to get them while they last. In my opinion, you can't beat $3/lb for picking delicious, local blueberries while nature bathing. #goodeats #localeats #youarewhatyoueat #supportyourlocalfarmer #supportsmallbusiness #pesticidefree #nofarmersnofood #csa #standardprocess #standardprocessbaby #blueberries #berrypicking #babysfirst #ladyboss #womeninbusiness @ Wild Hill Farm

When your husband is Paleo and he asks for a cookie cake for his birthday, you make him this delicious (and giant) morsel of heaven! @drbuffrocs Almond meal (3 cups) Baking powder (1 tsp) Himalayan sea salt (1 tsp)... Eggs (2) Maple syrup (1/2 cup) Vanilla extract (1 tsp) Coconut oil, melted (4 oz) Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips (4 oz) Dried tart cherries (4 oz) Macadamia nuts, crushed (2 oz) Pecan pieces (2 oz) Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes and dig in! My hubby prefers this à la mode with So Delicious brand coconut milk vanilla ice cream. However you love you oven-warm cookies, you can't go wrong! #paleo #paleochocolatechipcookie #cookiepie #cookiemonster #nomnomnomnomnomnomnom #healthytreats #betterforyou
