Office of The Westchester County Clerk 04.07.2021

Our Mobile Passport Office will be in Dobbs Ferry on June 29th, from 10am to 1pm at the Village Hall, 112 Main Street. Our staff will help you apply for your passport, take your passport pictures, notarize documents, accept DBA's and DD-214's for filing and more! We have replaced our twenty year old mobile office truck with a brand new, more fuel efficient truck, with a handicapped accessible ramp and additional work space to offer increased services for 2021! Due to pandemic restrictions, our Mobile Office visits were delayed this year, but our team is excited to bring the services of the County Clerk's Office back to all the communities of Westchester County!

The Office of the County Clerk wishes the very best to all the fathers out there. Our fathers deserve all the admiration we can bestow. Have a wonderful day to those who can visit their fathers, take the day to do so, or connect somehow. It's so important. And to those whose fathers have passed, take some time to reflect on the memories. Happy Father's Day!

Today we proudly celebrate Juneteenth for the first time as a national holiday. For those who may not be familiar with the holiday, it is important to put in the effort to educate yourself and understand why Juneteenth is so important. Information can be found here https://juneteenth.com/history/. It is truly remarkable to see Juneteenth become a national holiday. Still, we must also acknowledge that this is one of the many steps we are taking and need to continue to end systemic racism in our society.

Happy Juneteenth! Tomorrow, June 18, we celebrate the emancipation of the enslaved African Americans in Texas, two years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is now a national celebration of freedom and the end of slavery in the United States. The Office of the Westchester County Clerk will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 18, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
