Amenia Lions Club

There is always a way to help our neighbors out during the holidays. Sounds like it will be a blast!

The first wave of flags are up. We are very proud to be involved in this important community project and thank our partners: Amenia-Wassaic Community Outreach, community supporters, Silo Ridge Field Club, the V.F.W. and Millbrook Electric for their assistance in hanging banners. Please join us this Saturday, October 16th at 10:00 AM at the former M & T Branch Bank fountain for an official unveiling and dedication ceremony. We will also be doing another round of banners soon and will post that information when ready or you can email: [email protected] for more information.

The Lions cooked up some yummy burgers and dogs yesterday at the Indian Rock School House Community Day. Thank you Lions Jessica and Larry Moore, Michelle Viggiani- Winters and the next generation of Lions - Iris, Izzy and Maddie.

There is some new bling hanging in Amenia.. Our Hometown Hero Banners are starting to go up. We thank all of our veterans (past and present), our donors, the Amenia Wassaic Community Organization, and our community members as well as . Millbrook Electric for helping to hang them. We also thank our Amenia Lions Committee Members for spearheading this project and seeing it through to fruition: Lion Becky Downey, Lion Ann Sartori, Lion Wayne Euvrard, Lion Eric Eschbach, and Lion Linda Gregory!

Community Day in Amenia is tomorrow at the Indian Rock School house from 10-2. Stop on over and help support our great community. There will be lots of activities for the kids and craft vendors. Bring your appetite and grab a burger or hot dog from the Amenia Lions Club. The Amenia fire company will be there with their trucks along with Live music and cake! There is an amazing raffle also. Tickets will be on sale until the drawing at 1pm. You do not need to be present to win.

Our first drawing will be held on October 20th. Your ticket needs to be purchased before then to be in the first drawing.

A huge shout out to all the lions members who pulled off a great dinner and a very organized dinner pick up. We served 330 meals to our loyal 300 club ticket holders. Thank you to everyone who supported the dinner this year! While the party was missed, it didn’t stop you all from coming out and supporting a great cause!!!

We masked up to serve last night. Food prep underway for tonight’s 300 Club dinner! We look forward to seeing all of you tonight at your designated pick up time slot. #weserve
