As a number of you are aware, Sean M Ruane has organized a Month's Mind Mass at St. Barnabas Church in Woodlawn for this coming Sunday, November 1 beginning wit...h music before the Mass with some of Peter's friends and then in the Mass that follows all beginning at 2:30 pm in the Main Church at 241 St. and Martha Avenue (25% capacity rule in place). It will be livestreamed also on Facebook at the parish site, Sean M. Ruane's page and also Derek Woods who is broadcasting it. Gathering afterwards at Keane's Pub. MJ Quill Irish Centre in East Durham is announcing Peter McKiernan Scholarships & a Memorial to him on their Grounds via donations to their website today also. Blackthorne Resort has announced a new Memorial Garden next to Peter McKiernan's Room #16 being developed and launched April 24 along with the dedication of the Peter McKiernan Mr. Catskills Boulevard Sign alongside. Sean Ruane is also working with the Emerald Isle Immigration Center on a "Slan Abhaile" campaign in Peter's Honor aiming to raise funds for local music education and support for out of work music artists due to the Pandemic.
